Cookies and storage

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics, and loads no fonts, scripts or images from third-party services. Nothing here tracks you and nothing profiles you, so there is no consent banner to dismiss.
The law here is wider than cookies. Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations covers anything stored on your device or read back from it. There is one such thing on this site, and it is set out below.
What that means in practice
- No advertising or profiling cookies.
- No analytics or measurement scripts.
- No social media buttons or embedded players.
- Typefaces are served from this domain, not from a font provider.
- Images are served from this domain.
- The browser's own advertising interfaces, including the Topics API, are switched off by a header this site sends with every page. That one is enforced by your browser rather than left to us.
The one thing we store
If you press the light and dark control in the header, your choice is saved in your browser's
local storage under the name gofusion-theme. It exists so the site opens the way
you left it.
It holds one word, either light or dark. It is not a cookie, is
never sent to us or to anyone else, cannot identify you, and stays on your device until you
clear your browsing data. If you never press the control, nothing is stored and the site
simply follows whatever your device already prefers.
No consent is required for this. Storage whose only purpose is to remember how you want a service to appear is exempt under regulation 6. We tell you about it because the exemption covers consent, not disclosure.
Your browser may still store things of its own
Your browser keeps its own cache of pages and images so the site loads faster on a return visit. That is held on your device, is not readable by us, and can be cleared through your browser settings at any time.
One part of that is worth naming, because it is the longest. The photographs on our articles are sent with instructions to keep them for up to a year. Each one has its own address that changes whenever the picture does, so keeping the old one costs you nothing and saves loading it again. It is still your browser's own cache: it holds pictures, not anything about you, and clearing your browsing data removes it.
What happens when you send an enquiry
The contact form will be handled by a third party once it is connected, so submitting it will send what you typed to them as well as to us. Nothing is stored on your device by that process. Who they are and what they do with it is set out in the privacy notice. The form is not connected yet, so there is nothing to send.
Server logs
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which may include IP addresses, for security and to keep the service running. These are not used to identify individuals, and Vercel keeps them for one hour.
If this changes
If we add anything that sets a cookie or stores more than the preference above, such as a booking tool or measurement, we will update this page and ask for consent before it runs. Questions to initiate@go-fusion.co.uk, or through the contact page.
